Emilio Santini was born in Murano, Italy, into a family with six hundred years of glass blowing tradition. His father, a glass blower and self-taught lampworker, was his first teacher. Emilio moved to the United States eleven years ago, and has resumed blowing glass at the furnace. He is presently finishing his new studio, which will include facilities for glass blowing and casting, in addition to lampworking.
