New Class Schedule and Pricing!
The Revere Pipe Making Program is an in-depth study of the art of pipe making. It is the first and only school in the world to offer a complete education in the art of pipe making. It is designed to provide a solid foundation in a glass artist’s career. There are six series of classes, each consisting of ten 2.5-hour classes. All materials and tools are included with classes.
In each class, the instructor demonstrates the techniques and methods covered in the class as they create a piece or component. Students ask questions and take notes during demonstrations, and are given to time to practice and receive feedback.
Unlike many traditional schools, students schedule their own classes. Class slots are scheduled in any of the five weekday slots on our online calendar. Each class is sequential, and builds on the skills learned in previous classes.
In total, students have one hundred and fifty class hours. The amount of time needed to complete the program varies, but a student coming in for classes five days a week should be able to finish all six series’ within three months. Students can take longer to complete the program if they would like to, and we have had many students balance the program with employment to handle their living expenses.
Studio rental time is available to Pipe Making Students for $15 per hour, and we highly recommend that students schedule practice time between classes to maximize their learning experience. Rental slots are for independent practice, and students may provide their own glass, purchase from our stock, or freely use our scrap bins. We provide tools, torch, and bench space, as well as oxygen and propane.
Each Pipe Making Series costs $999. Students who purchase all six at once receive a discount, and the total cost is $4999. Classes can also be purchased individually for the price of $125 each.
